Zophobas morios beetle larvae, commonly known as morio worms or super worms are protein-rich feeder insects approximately 40-60mm in length. The morio worm exoskeleton is much tougher than regular mealworms and due to their larger size, these are recommended for slightly larger species of lizards, amphibians or birds. Unlike mealworms, morio worms do not pupate unless isolated so they tend to last much longer in storage especially when regularly fed. Store in a cool dry place to ensure they remain healthy for longer.
